Our friend Steve booked a diving trip through Rambutan Cottages Lovina to a shipwreck the USA Liberty 2 ½ hrs drive to the nth west of lovina returning with many photos and a memorable dive. We did the trek to Git Git waterfall ((I had forgotten the many steps) but its worth it in the end and the shopping is cheap along the way.
Took our friends to Banjar hot springs where we all came away looking 10 years younger because of the volcanic warm waters. LOL
Our driver's parents run a coffee plantation 1 hr from the springs so we called in for a visit. His mother cooked fried bananas which were delicious with tea and coffee.Very special.
Then back down to Tanah Lot Temple to drink the holy water and be blessed by the priest.
Hard Rock Hotel - 5th time at HRH. Hubbies loves this place because it is a music themed hotel. A bit expensive to eat and drink there but breakfast is included which it magnificent. So many choices. The pool is great with cascading water features, mini spas and slides for the kids and of course swim up pool bar. Cabanas to hire and a great deli for snacks.
Visited a silver factory called UC Silver and were shown through the work shop where workers were busy making and polishing silver jewellery. Then lead through to shop where I purchased some lovely earrings.
Took Travelan tablets again to prevent travelers trotts. Two people still had the runs for 1 day but not bad at all.
Bali seems to be busy coming into their holiday season and will get busier when the Australian school holidays start. No mention of swine Flu in Bali, everyone is happy and having a great time.
Thanks to you all again for bits of information I collected through the year. This was my 11th trip, Hubbys 9th, friends Steve & Le'Anne's 2nd and Pats 4th. We all had a ball and can't wait to return.
Thanks again
Kay
