I forgot the Treehouse Resaurant in Poppies 1 food, good. Bubba Gumps Rest. lots of fun.
The girls spent a Monday morning at Casa Luna cooking school in Ubud with Australian teacher Janet De Neefe. Great day cooking Spiced fish in banana leaves, fish curry, Spinach in tomato-chilli sambal, carrot and cucumber salad, fresh sambal and black rice pudding. I loved the hibiscus drink. Learning all about the spices was great. We all purchased (from Janet) a flat mortar & pestle at Rp.50,000. Then had to carry it for rest of our trip all over Bali weighing around 3 kilo! We then went off to Zen Spa for a 1 hr Balinese massage aaaarr! Lovely! After the relaxing massage you receive ginger tea with fruit.
We visited our sponsor child at an orphanage in Denpasar picking her up (17yr old) then went shopping to Ramayana shopping mall. Purchased 2 jeans, 4 tops, 1 sneakers.
Visited Jenny's at Sanur market for our fixed price goods and had our nails and toes manicured and painted with pretty flowers by Tinni. I like Tinni because she is not pushy and you can ask her what price we should pay for something and she tell us straight what we should pay.
We found 'The cavern' bar in Sanur (thankyou forum member who mentioned it) and what a find this place is. If you're a beatles fan you will love it. My hubbys a massive fan and plays in a 60s band in Adelaide so he was in heaven and I won some brownie points! I needed them later for the pandoras. Out the back of The Cavern are Condos to rent which looked fabulous with own pool.

Checked out pandoras at Silver Instinct (garlic lane) and Silverberry( Jl. Legian)
Silver Instinct wasn't bad with quality and styles but Silverberry was by far the best.
Fantastic choice with coloured stones or coloured beads and the silver seemed to be good quality. Spent Rp.1,239.000 on 1 bracelet and 17 various beads.
Other stalls and shops had Pandora style beads but were not as good quality.
I did pick up 2 more from Ms Pak at Kreshna Jewellery in Bali Rani Hotel.
Silver with yellow drop stone and silver with orange drop stone.

Lovina we stayed at Rambutan Cottages which in run by an Australian Richard and his lovely wife. Stayed in the Rama & Sita villas which were absolutely gorgeous with outside bathrooms. Thank you Colleen for your recommendation.

Through the Helen Flavel Foundation we sponsor 16yr old Gede. We visited the learning centre and Gedes home. They use to live in a room in their brothers house but a family member returned so they had to moved to the back of the property. Their new house is one room made of bits of wood for walls and bits of tin as a roof with light coming in everywhere. The floor is dirt with one mattress on the ground for the 5 of them to sleep on. I would hate to see it in a storm. But they were very proud people and proud of their home and had no problem showing us around. We put a smile on their faces when we all gave them our preloved clothing brought from home. Seeing their happy faces was priceless even Grandma when she put on an old bra of mine over her T-shirt. LOL

The Safari Park was fabulous. We stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow with 2 bathrooms and a lounge area and our friends in a 1 bedroom bungalow. The Rino and Elephants trek pass the bungalows all the time. The service was outstanding and breakfast with the lions was unforgettable! Photos were taken with the Orangatan, lion, tiger, snake, and leopard..We played with the baby elephant which is 3 mths old and was so cute!

Cont. Diving, Git Git waterfall, Hot springs, Drivers family, Hard Rock Hotel, Prada Lounge-airport.
