Upgrading to Star class

We're going again in November, having taken advantage of Jetstar's birthday sale. Is it worth upgrading to Star class for the overnight trip home, or does it really not make much difference. Also, if you have any idea as to how much it costs (or how many frequent flyer points it takes) to upgrade, please tell me.
