He did not want to be on benefits. He worked in a trade right up until his on the job injury. He was accessed as permanently disabled. Against all medical advice he managed to get the only work he could. As a cleaner. He didn't tell them about his previous work history. He wanted to work so bad he took the risk. Foolish, yes. But as i said, he did not want to live on government benefits. Within 3 months he was hospitalised again as a direct result of the cleaning.
I would not return him to India. He is a great Australian.
