I have a female native Indonesian speaker as my guru possibly one of the best in Perth and I hold her in the greatest esteem. I am not pretending to be fluent, I hope to be one day. I don't know why who my teacher is comes into it really.
My point was that pada and sampai did not need to be used in the context of an email or for that matter a phone conversation when things are as you know commonly abbreviated. I assumed the dua/empat thing to be a mere typo.
Mist people who have met Badak hold great respect for him too, and his ability in BI.
Anyway good to meet you again Keren.
