My wife and I continue to spend many months of the year in Bali. The truth about "downhill cycling" is that there are many companies offering about the same tour, which is in itself a Beautiful experience, the differences are amoung the smaller things. Puntuality, wealth of information, personality, English speaking, are the bikes in good condition, safety, how is the food, etc. Inh our experience over the last few years is that Bali Bintang Cycling and there sister tour company Gili 2006 adventure tours over exceed all of our expectations. You can find there information directly online and save a little money or book directly or through an agent when you arrive. Best deal all around is Bali Bintang. They bring you back to their family compound, which has western toilets and a restaurant overlooking a beautiful garden. When you arrive they offer you a cold towl to wipe off and refresh with, and their food is the best "Balinese food" on the Island. We often travel back to Wayan's home just for the Divine meal. Did I mention the coldest beer in Bali. Yes...they even have ice cold glasses for your Bintang or beverage of choice. BTW...they can also keep you out of many hassles by assisting you with any other transportaion or activity needs. I trust them, can count on them, and they are so kind and loving.

Perhaps if you are looking for a little more activity, you should try a sunrise volcano treck up Mt. batur. The experience...Priceless.

There is another company that can take you on cycling trecks of up to 10 days. There name is slipping my mind at the moment. I will check with my wife and submit it to you.

Enjoy your travels. Many Blessings
