I'll try to assist after being there numerous times with my kids. In order of things to do.

1. Bali Safari Park ( not the Zoo) . A great day to be had getting up and personal with Rangas, lions ect. Make sure you pack swimmers and towel as you will need a dip in waterpark inside the safarri Park after your adventures.

2. Bali Buggys .....book the first tour of the day ( before the bloody things have a chance to break down) This is a fantastic half day tour travelling thru jungle and villages with guides riding petrol buggies quads. Wear old clothes, sunnies, hat and shoes . You will get filthy dirty but its heaps of fun !

3. Ubud is a great place to unwind and to get a feel of what the real Bali is . Unfortunatley for my kids anyway they find it a tad boring. Never the less if you are after a day to unwind then Ubud is the place.

4. Shopping .....as a male I HATE shopping but always end up being the bag mule over in Bali. However even I love shopping over in Bali .However its not in the KUTA/lEGION strip that I enjoy but in two areas about 1.5 hrs away from there.

Teggalalang is a fantastic place to purchase all the stuff you see in Kuta and somethings you dont see at a fraction of the price. Better quality , better bartering just better all round!

Batubalun....is a small village that just specialises in stone. Again better choice, better price and better allround.

5. Nightclubs....although there are some here that have hissy fits i've taken my 11 + 16+17 yr old kids to the Bounty and Paddys on numerous ocassions . Have never had a problem, the kids love it.
