I understand that a childs passport is valid for 5 years, just unsure if he could use a childs passport when he is over 18. I don't think he will care one way or the other, as he is a uni student it will be mum and dad that pay for the new passport if needed, just as we will pay for his holiday, however, his company is worth the cost!
