I love just being out and about early in the morning in Bali, everything is quieter and the place is just gearing up for another day.

Yep, packed and rearing to go nice and early. Looks like we might sleep in after the holiday. I think we must wake up early because we just love being here.

Usual breaky, scrambled eggs, fruit, juice and kopi bali.

On the bike by about 9ish, slow ride to Sanur, not too much traffic.

Didn't want to get to Bloodyrons too early as it may be too early for a cleansing ale.

10:30 is not too early............. It would be lunchtime in Melbourne.
Had a chat with Neil and Ron and confirmed my booking for November. Headed off to Legian.

We are staying at coconuts hotel on Jln Padma Utara. I paid a deposit in Feb, hoping everything would be in place, you guessed it, all was fine. This place is at the entrance to Niksoma and right over the road from Ricky's Bar. Ricky actually recommended this place and it was only 300,000rph per night.

Dumped our bags turned on the AC and off for a massage, Carla Spa is just down the road. 55,000 for a massage, clean and lots of staff. Reasonably good massage.

Go for a wander for lunch and end up at Wayan and Friends, on Jln Padma, food was OK, good priced. Had a few cold Bintangs at Indo National, that is the only reason I go there, plus watching the world go by. It is less hectic than Posers.

As we are walking past Carla Spa again we decided we need more treatments. I have a haircut and a shave 75,000rph and Sue has a Facial and something else under 100,000rph.

Rico attended to me and he is such a sweety. All the questions he asked me in Indonesian I just happened to know the answers too in Indonesian. He finished the shave just in time, as I knew no more words and he would realize if he had asked ONE more question I couldn't speak as much as he thought I did.

Tonight we were splashing out and eating at Gado Gado. Have eaten there quite a few times before, but not for couple of years.

It was always a classy place, it still looks the same as before but the prices have gone up a fair bit, the food was very good. 160,000rph for tuna was well presented and cooked to perfection. They didn't even ask if we wanted cooked rare, medium or well done. (Like Café des Artiste in Ubud).

Cabbed it back to the digs, and earlish night ready for our last day tomorrow.

Breaky at Coconuts was just OK, the coffee was drip-o-lator and not drinkable. With a noon check-out Sue just had enough time for a pedicure and leg massage at Carla Spa, I had a kopi at Patrick's Warung next to Ricky's bar and read a book. Her treatment was 'fantastic'.

10 min. pack and off to Jln Melasti to drop off the bike to Bali Top Tours at the ‘Ice Cold P*ss' blackboard sign. About 100m from Jln Legian opposite the markets behind the wrought iron fence. Mohamad and Tasman are the guys to see. Tell them Ray from Perth who hires the Honda Tigers from them told you about them. Hopefully they won't overcharge you too much???!!!!

Taxi to the airport, got the just before Jetstar checkin opened. Swabbed the bags for something, explosives or drugs maybe. They rubbed our bags with a felt stick thingy and then they did the bags of the passengers next to us. If it had come up positive, would both of us be hauled off??

Anyway, uneventful wait and flight back to Perth. We were in row 5. We didn't buy duty free at Perth and we were 1st to the Customs. Quickly through and as we had check in luggage only and nothing to declare, they waved us straight through without checking our bags.

We were out in 10minutes and on our way home.

The Good: The freedom of riding a bike to where and when we pleased. Meeting people far off the beaten track, Temple Ceremonies and Parade in Kintimani.

The Bad: Just the coming home bit...........

The Weird: In Lovina there is a Place called Araminth Spa - Wellness and Healing Centre, on the main drag on the beach side of the road, corner of Jln Rambutan (at the traffic lights). We grabbed a brochure from there as we have had treatments there on previous trips. The massages are 130,000rph for their Araminth Massage. But what caught our attention was under Araminth Spa Treatments. They had Facial, Head and Hair, Manicure and Pedicure and something new..........Vagin* Steaming... described as follows 'The specific female in you is to be treated with great care. For cleanliness and personal hygiene, for good smells and to prevent cancer risk. Vagina steam is a 'Moksha' type of dry herbal smoke, that you apply yourself in a sitting position.
25 minutes Rp 105,000.

Thanks to all for reading, catch you later and happy Bali travels to all.

Cheers,

Ray
