Well this hotel was in fact called the Ocean Blue club back in the 80's and was my first hotel stayed at in Bali! In fact only stayed at two the 12 times I have gone to Bali. Champlung Mas is still the same as it was in the 80's less the 18 to 35's that enjoyed it back then, its more a family or single traveler hotel now gone is the on site night club drinking competitions and grease pole across the pool. Oh such fond memories.
The staff are fantastic and some are still there from the 80's, and I now consider them as friends, and they treat myself and Dian as family more than hotel guests, mind you they treat all guests as friends and family more than just a regular hotel guest and nothing is to much trouble.
Rooms are slowly being done up and have stayed in the newer ones which are not flash but comfortable and clean. breakie good and as said someone else the pizza's are great, just to bloody small keep wanting two LOL.
Its close to markets bars markets and anything else you might want.
