Many years ago on leaving mbr I used my credit card to pay for snacks my boys had chalked up over our month stay, they had the old swipe on the carbon copy machine and no probs until a week later when I found my card was maxed out when I got some petrol in Aus. Turned out my card was duplicated from the carbon copy or original copy, the card was used in Malaysia at Kota Kinta Bali at three different shops, after stat decs etc all money returned as it was covered by insurance, although it was a bit of drama I didn't need. If you go through this old machine process always get the carbon copy,things are highly advanced now with scammers getting all info of your card with a simple swipe across a scanner when they drop your card on the inside of the counter beyond your vision,a pilot friend was warned of this by his airline company. - be aware but not paranoid Brent
