ditto last month when leaving Perth and returning from Bali.
Our hand luggage was opened and gone through in the departure lounge just before boarding the plane. I was carrying an epipen and phenergen in a first aid bag for my son and thought I was going to get the third degree about the needle. I had a letter from his GP explaining what it was and why it needed to be carried on board with him. Anyway the airport man held it in his hand whilst opening everything else in the hand luggage and didnt even ask me what it was! I did get a roll on sunscreen confiscated though.
