a simple test for polarised lenses is :: face 2 pairs face to face and you should be able to see thru both lenses. Turn 1 lense only 90 degrees or 1 / 4 of a turn and it should go black so you cant see thru.
you can buy polarised sunnies in Australia for $20 at a good tackle shop why would you put tinted platic bali sunnieson your eyes unless you just love $5 sunnies.
always take my own sunnies from home, jarvis walker or ugly fish.
