I love Lovina, but haven't stayed at Rambutan Cottages. Sounds ok, but I still love my little boutique hotel, Villa Agung near Anturan. Not a resort by any means, but found it very comfortable. I really liked your description re driving on the Bali roads. Very Zen like! Last year during the August Full Moon, went to a ceremony at the Bambu Kuning Headquarters in Singaraja.
