I too am going in three weeks (and one day).
As you have a 14 year old try, Echo beach for dinner and sunset one night, Waterbom an absolute must, Dreamland beach, Ubud for a wander and lunch. The bird park is not mentioned very often and I have not been for years but it used to be really good and you can do this and Ubud in one trip, Seminyak to try the restaurants on eat st (Laksmana?). Go to Kuta markets as well as Melasti markets, water sports or maybe a day trip to Lembongan which will include some water sports and take a taxi to Sanur and have a lunch by the beach. Too many things to do so you will have to go back many more times!
