We have been staying at the melasti beach resort with our 2 girls now aged 10 and 12 for the past 5 years and cannot really fault it. We also stay in the "old suite cottages" which are the biggest rooms available for 4 people and they are great with plenty of room and a partitioned off area for you and your husband which provides a bit of privacy.
There are 2 large pools and 1 plunge pool. The breakfasts are fine and it is a buffet with plenty to choose from. As everything goes, sometimes you get sick of the buffet, but if so, there are always some alternatives for a change, I think its fine and enough for a good start to the morning. What better way to start the day than overlooking the beach having brekky.
Its a 3 star resort and it has plenty of families staying there which will keep your boys occupied. The new suites are closer to the newer pool, however we prefer the old suite cottages as they are bigger for all of us and are closer to the beach and restaurant.
You really shouldn't spend too much time in your room, only to sleep and shower, as there is too much to see and do.
