I bet you didnt learn to do your tables as we did back in the dim dark ages.
We used to have to 'chant' our tables.
1 8 is 8
2 8s are 16
3 8s are 24 etc.
If it costs 15000, its close enough to au$2
If its 30000 its under au$4
100,000 is over $12
Polished up on my 3 then 6 and 7 times tables previously.
Good ole mental arithmetic.
I wonder if it was their intention to make it easier for us when we travel to foreign countries and convert their currency to ours.
