As a little aside, one of my friend also has a project registered here in Oz called 'Bali Smiles' which provides operations for children in Bali with Cleft Lips or Palates.
However, that is not the reason I am replying to your post. I also run an educational & cultural exchange project in Bali for Elementary School children and we currently have over 600 kids in the Mengwi area. We are also extending into the Karangasem area starting with the new school year. I get a large number of enquiries from people wishing to sponsor the education of individual children they may have met in the Kuta Legian area.
