If you are touristy stop at the Bat cave and go to the the origonal village of Tenganan just before Candi Dasa, otherwise grab a drink at Candi. The scenery from then on is quite stunning.
On the way back take one of the many inland routes and either drive through the mountains or rejoin the old road which is now a pleasure as most of the traffic is fighting it out on the new road.
Stop at Gianya and choose a spit roasted pig that looks good and for around $5.00 you have a great lunch for 2.
