Have stayed at both and management at Kupu Kupu Barong has slipped in the last year. You could always do both as Pita Maha will come and collect you and take you back. A few years ago we did both Kupu and Pita Maha. If shopping is your thing in any shape or form best stick to the Kuta area. If shopping is second go Pita Maha.
