I liked the room, I had a packagage and not budget - I think was US60 per night, could be wrong. The food was sensational and even not the cheapest very good, especially for my boys who prefer traditional australian food, pizza, hot dog, hamburger style food. My second room was great, heaps space, bathroom a bit tired, but comfortable bed and extremely clean, tv, air, I think all of the rooms are in line for a revamp of furniture. I believe KP is lovely too, but have not been there. For us the position of the BGH is just great, we walked along the beach to Legian most days, the boardwalk along the beach is so good.
