Well, got back from 3 great weeks in Bali Friday night and booked for my next trip on Monday. 29th September but this time for 10 weeks. Bali was so hot this time, everybody was saying it even the Balinese. Stayed at the good old Suri Wathi, I love it here, know everybody, feel safe n great price. This time I was by myself, my good traveling buddy Nessie went before me. I found this time that Bali is getting a little bit dearer to buy things, shows how tuff they are doing it when the bartering is harder. I did get to celebrate my birthday in Bali this time, something I have always wanted to do. Thanks Geoff at the Bali Beach Shack, he supplied me with the biggest cocktail I have ever had n I am proud to say I finished it, then it nearly finished me, but still kicked on until around 3 in the morning, sure don't remember getting back to Suri. Some friends from Geraldton came over to help me celebrate 21 x 3 so that was great. Went to some great resturants but eat mostly in warongs. Came down with Balibelly for 3 days, would not wish that on my worst enemy. I had been up in west bali at the village and had coffee, maybe the water hadnt been boiled but there again it can be anything. I took a toilet and 4 bags of cement up to a village in west bali for a family who's toilet had collapsed, you should have seen the house and children, so sad, went straight to the market and spend around 1,5000rph on food and milk for them, poor little buggers were so thin and hungry. Also visited an Orphange in Gianyar for Disabled Children, once again, food, they badly need the roof repaired there, when the monsoons come again they have to move all the beds around, doors to rooms and so called bathrooms are all rotted as well. If anybody wants to know more about this I have left my email open so contact me. It was very quiet in Bali this time, not many tourists around. I got a cab on the day of the elections to take me to Carrfour, when we got there taxi drivers says we go to Ramiana in Denpasar it is open, 70,000rph and a long way around to Denpasar we get to Ramiana and it to is closed, so angry, he knew all along so I told him I would not pay anymore for the fare and he was to take me back to Legain, this wasnt going to happen, he grabbed my arm and said you not leave until you pay n I not take you back, I had my friend in the back of the cab n she was a bit frightened so she paid him, I was so angry, I dont mind paying for the trip but it was just a big joke because he knew everything was shut, I get so angry with some of the cabbies n before you ask, no, it was not Blue Bird.
I few with Pacific Blue from Perth, great airlines, good stewarts, spunky pilots, dvd's in back of seat n pay for food, would fly with them again. Well thats about all, can't wait to head of again. As I said if anybody wants to know more get in touch.
