Tony has had no problems equally reporting on anything that he believes is wrong at Bali Zoo.
The only connection Tony has ever had with Bali Zoo was to donate money (thousands and thousands of dollars of his own money) give animal education to Bali Zoo employees,encourage the owner to enlarge the enclosures and to try to bring it up to being a world-class zoo. He spent countless hours trying to help them.
It was never a business arrangement whereby Tony would profit from it.
Why did he do it? It's simple really. He did it because he loves animals and can't stand to see them suffer. Although he no longer has the same involvement with Bali Zoo as he did, i believe he achieved many of his goals.
It isn't the first Asian zoo Tony has helped from altruistic motives and it won't be the last.
