i know! we are the same ... couldn't get in anywhere, but have got a room at Resor Seminyak (I think!). It might be more than what you want to pay though. if you want to be smack bang in Kuta on the cheap try Barong Hotel - i haven't been there for 8 years so don't know what condition it's in now ... maybe forumites might know.
