We try to limit our holiday to once a year but alas we could not stay away so booked for a short stay departing Sydney 4/4 flew Garuda all good and thankfully they had organised good seating as husband had broken arm and the extra room helped. The VOA was much quicker than in September last year out to our wonderful friend/driver in half an hour.We are creatures of habit and have formed wonderful friendships with the staff at Kuta Lagoon Resort, our home away from home I think from memory about our 15th stay. The way we are treated never ceases to amaze me, the General Manager advised us on arrival that they had just completed a brand new suite and asked if we would like to trial and provide any recommendations for improvements/faults etc. We were honoured, we love our direct pool access rooms and will be happily staying in for 3 weeks in September, we could not let this opportunity pass the suite is absolutely beautiful, you enter through double timber gates to private courtyard with deep blue pool and full height water feature. The suite has a day room which includes day bed, timber/leather dining suite and kitchen. Then through to lounge room equipt with plasma tv and dvd player that either leads into bedroom with 4 poster bed and plasma tv or out to the outdoor bathroom which is absolutely beautiful his and her basins, separate shower/wc with spa bath. We were in absolute heaven!!!Due to husbands broken arm this was a terrific suite to spend out last 6 days in Bali. Restaurants we visited all our regulars, Bali Beach Shack always good, Kedumba in Jl Melasti absolutely fantastic meals and great price. Neros always a wonderful meal and reasonably priced. Our favour cheapie is Warung 96 in Benesara off poppies 2 best Nasi in Bali tasty pizzas and extremely cheap. Also uncle Norms good value. Forgot Tommys for those delicious home made cornbeef and salad rolls. We also popped into Bali Rock 1 night there was a young band playing do not know their name but they were soooo very talented will definately have to see them again in September. Shopping not too much as travelling twice a year I had already purchased heaps of clothing last holiday, did get some shoes copied at Dolphin Leather absolutely fantastic great price also. Alway seem to go to Geneva, my son will be moving out soon so he visited their website and had a extremely large list spend under ASD$100.00 and managed to fill a suitcase pretty good value. Just a warning make sure that you clean all items and anything goods that are packaged eg. placemats remove spray with baygon put back in bag until just before you leave and ensure that any little critters are gone, we had a couple of things confliscated at airport eventhough we could not see any bugs??Got prescription glasses at Optik Melawi opposite Mataharis Kuta Square what a bargain nice frames and under ASD$50.00 will definately purchase more in September. Hilites was spending time with our bali daughter (she calls us Mum and Dad, so we are honoured to call her our daughter) I just love how wonderful the balinese are to their families, our friend and her brother have just fully renovated the family home in Denpasar what a transformation they added another story which her brother and wife will live in when married. The brother is a engineer and extremely talented and made all the furniture it was a pleasure to be able to see what they had done for their parents. We also spent to day together at Ubud and had a massage at a 5 star resort, sorry but do not get the massage thing I was sore for days, much prefer the pedicure and just a shoulder massage. We have some wonderful friends in Bali and nearly every day had visitors which was just what we wanted this holiday to spend time with them. I still find it distressing what so little some of our friends have and the living conditions. We have friends with 2 beautiful young sons that have a lovely house in Munti but their accommodation in Kuta conditions are appauling so hopefully we will be able to sort out something more suitable for a young family. We upgraded at the airport to executive class, always conflicting details on rates we were advised prior to leaving that is is USD$275.00 at airport but when paying was USD$350.00 yeh it is much comfortable but will rethink next holiday.
Well that is all, I seem to have rambled on a bit, hope you enjoy

also forgot to mention after getting details off this forum about dvd's H is the best thing ever always on time always great copies
