There may be a local credit union in your area that has lower fees than you're being charged - or no fees at all. I have a feeling mine is one of the last ones around with no fees, and I'm waiting for the day they start charging them!
If you find one that only charges a low fee per withdrawal, it could be worth the effort of seeing up an account just for the holiday. I only pay $10 a month in account keeping fees. Even if it was $20 a month in fees, it'd pay for itself in saved transaction fees while on holiday.
From what I've heard from others, CBA are the worst for ATM fees in Bali.
