at Denpasar. We were told yesterday by the Garuda sales office at Kuta Paradiso that departure tax had gone up to 200,000rupiah. Upon arriving at the airport last night, the sign still read that the tax was 150,000rupiah. Obviously they hadn't changed the sign. After watching several people go through only paying the 150,000 , we paid the same, saving us another 200,000rupiah. However, my parents asked the official "is it now 2000,000rupiah? to which he replied yes, so that is what they paid. Be aware that if they have not changed their signs, just pay the original amount. I know its not a lot of difference but if you are travelling with a family, it is a big saving. No doubt they will try and change their signs soon!
