Last minute tours?

Down to 5 days to go and i finally booked my accommodations.... 2 weeks at the Jayakarta and a week at Peninsula Beach using time shares... I haven't booked any daytrips/tours and i'm traveling solo... is it easy to book these things the day of or day before or just wait till i meet some people planning similar activities and join their group?
