out the front of melasti ( if you are at legian not kuta bungalows ) there is a supermarket. next to it on the lefthand side is a phone shop. they will install your sim and turn phone on to english for you. i gave them my old nokia phones 2 years ago when we left as we always take our old ones in case we loose them. hope this helps.
