Hi Gizmobear, my wife,family & I stayed here in June 07, although a little while ago now, we found this hotel to be of great value, clean rooms and the staff were excellent. We did not see any rats at the hotel, but have seen rats throughout Bali in general. Bali isn't one of the most cleanest, hygenic places, so I am not supprised re; the rats. Cheer's Tony
