You can take any amount of liquid you wish in your luggage,if you buy grog from a duty free outside of the airport you HAVE to put it in your luggage and hand in the paperwork to customs (exiting australia), and the LAGS regulations tell you that in hand luggage no CONTAINER can be larger then 100ml(even if only 50ml left in the container)but you can take more than one container I.E more than 100mls total providing that all containers are in a re-sealable plastic bag with a size no larger than 1 litre.
