I am 100% pro travel insurance (and arrange it for many of my clients) but at the end of the day its got to be up to personal choice. Same for home, contents, vehicle, business or liability.
Just dont expect anyone else (family, friend or Government) to pick up the tab if an accident, illness or incident renders the traveller out of pocket.
