I actually booked with Air Asia the day they came onto the Aussie market and they were free flights and you only had to pay taxes & fuel charges. Since then the fuel charges have been abolished and Virgin & Jetstar has come into the picture with great prices. We actually booked with Virgin to come back and didn't take up our Air Asia flight for the return. Sometimes it pays to get in early and other times it's better to wait!
