yes u need aussie licence to get international licence.if you are riding a scooter in bali for the first time lots of things to consider , firstly if you have an accident it is your fault even if it is not.it will end up costing you a fortune.most aussies know just to take off as long no one is hurt.if you stay and the police come the fun begins.they will demand money from you as you are aware the police force in bali is corrupt.it could end up a nightmare for you.the only one to make the decision is you.good luck
