A lot of the beach bars in Legian have their regulars who can make you feel like you are intruding. Personally, I think its more welcoming in Kuta.

Maybe its also got to do with expectations. I go to sit have a drink, have a yak and just enjoy the sunset I am not going to interupt an existing conversation to greet everyone who rocks up. Its just the way it is, some people fit in, some people dont, and that happens everywhere.

And to the person, sorry I cant remember your name, who said if they wanted to speak to an Aussie they would do it here, its not that simple. I live near a beach and if I went down to sit and have a beer I'd be arrested for having alcohol, there is no sunset to enjoy, and if I was to sit and talk to a stranger they would probably ignore me.

Tia Maria I will be there in August so might see you down the beach for sunset one day.
