Hi Donna, We pay between 400,000 and 600,000rp per day, depending on amount of km, thus petrol costs and number in the vehicle. If 4 of us tour for the day, I usually suggest 150,000rp each.
Also depends on the driver, his knowledge, his attitude, cleanliness, comfort of vehicle and co-operativeness.
I must admit, I do the same with a taxi driver. If he is helpful I always tip him more.
