Hi all, I'm seeking some accom suggestions. We have been to Bali many times, but have decided to head over for a couple of weeks in October/November, and this time we will be taking our 4yo and 2yo for the first time.

We don't like big hotels, don't need kids clubs etc and we prefer more authentic Bali-style bungalows (like Poppies Cottages, my all time favourite Kuta hideout).

But now with the kids, we'd prefer a small complex, we don't want something with direct access to a pool, prefer to be on the ground and with a bit of garden/lawn space, and we need to be in easy walking distance to restaurants etc. My husband surfs, so I'd like to be reasonably close to the beach so it's easy for both of us! We also wanted a hotel where we could afford to eat lunch around the pool, and where we could have breakfast onsite, rather than carting the kids off somewhere every morning. We don't mind if the kids are in the same bedroom as us, but a separate living area to watch tv and an outdoor drinkies area are high on the priority list.

I have looked at most of the well-known, regular places, but at the moment am looking at Robins Place and Villa Coco. The KP sounds like an option as far as hotels go but unsure we'll get in. Would love to go back to Poppies Cottages, but could be a bit of a squeeze. As well as the main drag, we are open to some options in Canggu and Bingin for a few days.

Would love to hear some suggestions. I know the perfect place is out there somewhere. I'd like to stick to the $100-200 Aus a night budget.

Thanks,

Rachael
