klung kung has a great market and a moderately interesting palace.
amlapura has a market (not been to it) and two interesting palaces (mty 7 and 9 year old loved them, too) one is in good nick and the other unrestored.
tirta gangga has the water palace and delightful walks around it into the countryside. padang bai has a harbour and some ok beaches if that's your thing. email me for accommodation ideas or extra info
