ANDARI VILLA.
This was our third stay at Andari and it was absolutely sensational. We were in Villa Suoni (2 bedroom) located just off Jalan Double Six down the laneway opposite the Kumala Hotel on Jalan Werkudara. Just look for the sign to Villa Pisang Mas and you will find Andari. (The villa sign has been ordered and should arrive soon, to make easier to find it from the main road!)
Quiet area and great location, close to beach, food and shops.

Our helper, Made, arrived each day at 8.30 in the morning until 4 each afternoon. She did our laundry, bought us breakfast supplies and cooked them up, tidied up and lit all of the mossie coils each evening before she left. Fantastic service!

The pool is really warm, which I like - can jump straight in and watch tv from our blow-up pool lounges! The bedrooms are air-conditioned and there are two lovely outside bale areas for lazing around reading. The pool boys come and test the pool regularly and the gardener pops in each morning to tidy up those stray leaves that drop onto the manicured lawns!

NYEPI
This was our third trip at Nyepi and it was disappointing not to have the usual Ogah Ogah parades about this year due to the coming elections, but the penjors were all around from the previous week. We heard some fireworks going off the evening before Nyepi, so the locals must have made some noises to the spirits even if they weren't allowed to have the full parades.

We had a relaxing Nyepi day watching movies quietly and made our own bbq dinner, with great steaks from Bali Deli and potato salad. Nothing better than being in a villa at Nyepi with the high walls, so nobody disturbs you and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Many shops closed for a few days, but we had made orders for things before Nyepi, so knew to get this out of the way before closures.
