g-land trip from bali

Hi all,
Thanks for all the very useful information. I'm planning a trip for my family to Bali in October. My husband is keen to take off for G-land, Java for 3 or 4 nights to surf while we are over there. Does anyone know if I am better off to book it from here or wait until I am in Bali? Costs online look at being around $400 US. (ouch!) Any experiences or recommendations of companies to use would be much appreciated!
