Yes the Aussies are back big time.
How nice it is again to see all those big bellied,loud mouthed Bintang shirted, tattooed Aussie guys in bars swilling Bintangs whilst their big fat wives and overweight daughters sporting braided hair with beads walk the streets in search of bargains.
I don't think I have seen so many Aussies in Bali since before the big bang. How 'cultural' we must appear to other visitors there.
Enough sarcasm.....

Heaps of young kids in Bali at present very noisy in the pool...next year we will book well before Easter holidays and Nyepi 16/3/10
Padma hotel foyer and restaurant being totally refurbished and renovations not finished until about June/July
Tried Yutz restaurant in Seminyak....very good and well priced
Gosha on Melasti st doing very good business again.
Heaps of Russians...in general the people we met were very nice, the guys are quite aggressive though.
We met many young(17 to 25) Aussie guys and girls...what a great bunch of people...
Went to Gili Trawangan for 5 days with Gili Cat 1,100,000 return...what a difference in 5 years...the southern part of the island is now full of upmarket large restaurants serving poor food and menus in english and Russian !!!! the northern part of the island has changed but is still similar to 5 years ago and quite charming. Lots of turtles around the islands...fantastic snorkelling
