Its a great little place to get fresh seafood of your choice bbq'd. They also have a generous menu for the non seafood lovers. It is a 30-40 minute drive from Legian.
When we went last year, we organised a driver for 1/2 day and left legian around lunchtime, via a few surf factory outlets, then visited Taneh Lot which is in the same vicinity of Echo beach restaurant. We got there around 5pm to get a good outdoor table to give us prime position for sunset watching. The restaurant is very reasonably priced as well.
