last Sunday after staying at the Bali Rani for the 2nd time the first being some 7 yrs ago. It doesnt seem to have changed a bit in this time and i think a major renorvation cant be too far away as it is getting to look very tired. The owners have recently opened The Rani just down the road and that looks to be where the money has been spent. The breakfast is reasonable but nothing to get excited about a bit more variety would be be nice as even standard items in most places like Fried Tomatoes and Baked Beans never make the menu. The staff are a great bunch and nothing seems to much trouble for them.
The location in South Kuta would be biggest thing going for it with Waterbom Park, Discovery Shopping Centre and Kuta Square being whithin a short walk away and the numerous reastaurants in the area. We enjoyed our stay there but would probaly look to stay somewhere different next time just for the variety.
The rooms around the pond are the standard rooms with the deluxe(and bigger)rooms being around the pool if you dont like stairs you need to push for the ground floor rooms as there is no lift to the 1stand 2nd floor rooms
