If you have separately a photocopy of your Passport & details of your TC numbers, then your TCs are replaced within 24 hours. Your cash is gone forever. Passports can be replaced quite quickly.
All travellers should keep separately copies of Passport, Travel Insurance, TSs, medical insurance and all other vital docs as well as leaving copies at home.
