Just got back from 2 weeks in Bali flew air asia coolangatta to kl then kl to bali and then home again. Bought spirits at coolangatta and had them pput in a sealed see through plastic bag that we carried on as hand luggage. When we flew from kl to bali we carried on as hand luggage and put thru the xray machine prior to check in and it was no problem, the guy just checked to make sure the bag was sealed. We were a bit worried but really there was no problem. we did ask the counter staff at the lcct terminal in kl when we checked in and they said no problem as long as the bag was sealed.
