I perspire when I get out of the shower on a mild day in Perth (dry climate) so I know where you are coming from.

The humidity is not EXTREME in Sept/Oct but it IS there. I wouldn't plan long walks or shopping expeditions at this time of year without a few drink stops. You WILL appreciate that pool and air con SO much more.

We went in June, for the first time, last year - I was amazed at how delightful the weather was - just perfect. I wouldn't go Nov - March as Sept/Oct is hot and humid enough for me.

You won't have a sickly holiday Sept/Oct as long as you don't plan on being TOO active.
