Same as Zabowskee said, get settled into your hotel etc & go for a wander to get your bearings.
Try to not buy anything for the 1st 24hrs unless you feel really comfortable bargaining.
Just smile, say no and keep walking if you feel harrassed. If you like the beach, try to go to the same spot each day this way the sellers will get to know you.
