I spent four nights in Padang Bai last month. It has a small semi-permanent expat population that hangs out at the Marco Inn or the Zen Inn.

In addition to the bay, there are two other beaches Bias Tugal and Blue Lagoon. Bias Tugal was the best beach.

Avoid Cafe Padang Bai. They served me a 'Jumbo Snapper' which was barely 8 inches long.

Fishing, swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving are popular activities.
