totally agree with you Im not debating who and what should take how much?I just dont agree when people give advise and noones been targeted here just general comments put it all in hand luggage!We all know garuda have turned a blind eye to weight unless they want some money from you.Its definitly as mentioned by many forumites dangerous to try and smuggle more weight than intended onto planes ever seen show air disasters?those overweight bags become missles that in turbulance fall and severly injure passengers why would anyone want to test fate with overweight luggage and put anyone at risk?I flew home year of the aussie olympics on a jumbo totally overloaded from bali we had indonesian olympic teams on board had skis sporting equipment sticking out from under seats overhead lockers etc. then a american girl who insited on bringing on her suitcase how she got through dont know tryed to jam it between seats when we took off the plane actually jolted and you could feel the weight shift my husband and I didnt think it was going to make it.I dont want to fly with that feeling ever again so if more people advised everyone be sensible and not give ideas of smuggling as much as they can in hand luggage(not saying any post here did) flying may actually stay safe although your so right the airlines especially garuda need to up there game(I love flying garduda too)anyone concerned can do what I did years ago and wrote to the airline we like to travel on making a plea for better air safety then we can all feel safer?
