I use a Telkomsel Simpati sim card in my Nokia mobile which I used for sms, calls and 3G & 3.5G data both straight from my phone for email and browsing and as a dial up modem for my computer. I use the USB connection that came with the phone and away we go! It is quite cheap to use. It can also be connected to the computer via bluetooth but the speed of the bluetooth connection may slow things down a little.
A new card has to be "flashed" by sending an sms "flash" to a particular number and another sms "3G" to access the 3G network.
